Help Build Hope 2023

September 22-23, 2023

We were thrilled to host around a hundred youth and their adults this weekend to construct 25,200 meal kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief who will distribute these meals to those in need around the world. We also got inspired by the Heroes of Justice in our past, and looked forward to our youth being justice heroes now and in the future!

Trunk or Treat 2022 was a community treat! Thanks to everyone who volunteered or donated candy!

We welcomed 370 guests!

Our Dad Grill Team grilled over 300 hotdogs…

Our 30 volunteers created a welcoming and fun experience…

And a mountain of candy was shared with the most adorable kids!

Creation Care 2021

Caring for Creation by Cleaning Up

Eleven UMCB members, including one in a kayak!, were part of a large group that helped to pick up trash from around Coe Lake, the nearby Cleveland Metroparks and part of downtown Berea. We collected a lot of items! Thanks also to Sustainable Berea who organized the clean-up.

Gratitude Walk

On May 2, 2021 18 people went on a 1-mile gratitude walk in the Cleveland Metroparks in the area near Wallace Lake.

A big thank you to the many hearts and hands that supported our two weeks of the Feed the Kids program. The response from our community was overwhelming and wonderful.

Youth Work Mission 2020 at Nehemiah Mission

Day One at Nehemiah Mission

We served at Trials of Hope preparing grocery distributions, began work on a laundry room that will serve refugee families at the mission, did repairs in a shower, and our awesome youth constructed EIGHT picnic tables that will allow the mission to continue their Bread on Bridge dinner and worship outdoors, making it safer through the pandemic.

Day Two at Nehemiah Mission

Another great day serving at Nehemiah Mission! Today we handed out toiletries in a food pantry at Denison UCC, finished the community laundry room at the mission, sorted clothes for new project, and got to serve and participate in Bread on Bridge dinner and worship.
